What is FIBERNOX® GFRP reinforcement and where is it used?

PohlCon UK recently supplied FIBERNOX® V-ROD GRP reinforcement to MPB Structures Ltd for the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro Extension. The product was used within the switch area of a newly constructed junction, where non-magnetic and non-conductive reinforcement was required to avoid interference with sensitive electrical and signalling equipment. A total of 5,100 kg of straight and curved GRP reinforcement was supplied for this technically demanding section of the project.
